When do you need a mobile app — and when is a website enough?
You need a mobile app when people will use it often, when you need push notifications, offline access, or device hardware. A responsive website is enough for marketing, lead capture, and many ecommerce stores. Build the web presence first unless the product is the app.
A website is enough when…
The job is to be found, understood, and contacted. That is almost every service business in Mumbai. A fast, mobile-friendly site with a clear offer beats an app nobody opens twice.
An app is justified when…
DutyFlex exists because attendance is a daily habit with device-level needs. Field teams, loyalty products, and tools people open every morning belong on a store listing. A brochure does not.
- Daily or weekly use, not a one-time read
- Push notifications that users actually want
- Camera, GPS, Bluetooth, or offline mode
- A logged-in product, not a marketing site
A sensible path
Ship the website or a lightweight web app first. Learn the flow. Then go native or cross-platform when the usage is real. Intelligic designs and builds both, so we have no incentive to sell an app you will not keep.
